The vision to begin Gospel Mission Church began with a word: Luke 4:5-6 "And every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked path shall be made straight, and the rough way shall be made smooth” after he had been liberated from living a reckless life of addiction to drugs and alcoholism.
Ministry began in an humble way after a crusade in an area characterized with witchcraft, sorcery, drunkardness, robbery, murder and all sorts of sin. However, God was faithful to His word of delivering His people, and by the end of the crusade, over 20 had given their lives to Christ.
Pastor Mugisha started Gospel Mission Church, together with a few other young ministers having a ‘congregation’ of 35 people in a rented facility (a 100 seat hall).
Pastor Frank is now Pastor to over 400 people and God has kept His promise by giving him his own piece of land on which is the church facility which earlier began as mere tents.
Because many if the new converts were illiterate, this prompted him to take another leap and set up an adult center in which these people and others from the nearby community would receive free education.

About Pastor Mugisha
Pastor Frank Mugisha was called at the age of 20 and after four years launched into ministry at the age of 24 years. He is now the founder and senior Pastor of the 400 seat Gospel Mission Church situated in one of the City suburbs in Nalukolongo.
He was born in Kamweezi, an impoverished village in Western Uganda, during a period of civil wars but miraculously survived the war together with all the other mischief that characterized the area with disease and the fear of death.
As he grew up, Mugisha went through a series of struggles searching for meaning in life.
He lived a careless and hopeless life style in Katwe (another city suburb) until he was later delivered from the jaws of the enemy and in 1997, he met Jesus Christ and was given a new life ”a beauty for ashes.”
Because of the tremendous growth, Gospel Mission Church currently holds annual conferences and crusades so as to give more room for other people in the community to receive the greatest gift of salvation.
Obeying the great commission, he travels round the globe and has been to 8 nations spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Frank also conducts a radio program over and above the church progam, another avenue through which souls have been touched and changed.
A number of churches have been planted in the rural areas of the country.
Pastor Frank resides in Kampala-Uganda with his lovely wife Florence, their son Wiseman with whom ministry has been nothing but a real gift and blessing to serve.
